Stabilise leg and open airway

Remove glasses, necklaces and empty pockets etc.
If possible, pregnant women should be placed on their left-hand side.
While awaiting the arrival of the emergency services: secondary survey — circulation, disability and exposure.
Keep casualty warm and monitor.
Check breathing regularly.
Reassure and comfort.
